Specialised Fungal Nail Diagnosis
Preventid Dermatophyte is a rapid lateral flow immunoassay, designed for the search for Dermatophyte antigens in nail samples. It uses monoclonal antibodies against Dermatophytes.

A vascular assessment is a non-invasive test that checks the blood flow in the arteries and veins in your legs and feet. It enables us to get a better understanding of your body’s circulatory system.

Swift® Microwave is a new technology developed in the UK, available for patients at Blackwater Podiatry for the treatment of verruca and wart.
Swift® Microwave can also be used in treating fungal nails.
Biomechanics and Orthotics
Biomechanics is the assessment of the way in which the muscles, bones and joints of the feet and lower limb interact and move. Correction, if required, is often through the application of Orthotic Therapy.

Blackwater Podiatry and Chiropody was established with the aim of providing high level foot care in Maldon and the surrounding areas.
We combine clinical expertise with the latest technology, in comfortable surroundings, to ensure you receive exceptional podiatric care.
Our air-conditioned treatment rooms are situated on the ground floor, allowing easy wheelchair access if required.
The clinic is open Monday to Friday and offers appointments between 9am-5pm and every other Saturday between 9am-1pm.

All Podiatrists at Blackwater Podiatry are HCPC registered. This ensures that you will be treated by a regulated Health Professional. Podiatrists are required to regularly update their knowledge through Continual Professional Development (CPD) in order to stay up to date with the latest treatments and evidence-based practice.
